I am an Indian citizen and I was raised in Lucknow. I lived in Guwahati for 4 wonderful years during my bachelors. I am now in Philadelphia, where I am slowly changing from a lad to a more balanced human being. Since coming to this great nation, I have been inspired by the work and life of Ben Franklin, who was a great patriot, diplomat, inventor, philosopher and a businessman, in short a true Renaissance Man.

It Never Stops: Lovely piece by Maira Kalman on Ben Franklin:
Don’t mope in your room,
Go invent something.
That is the American message.
Electricity. Flight. The telephone.
Television. Computers. Walking on
the moon. It never stops.

Just like my hero, I wish to change the world and specifically my homeland India, through my teaching, research and service.

I the past, I was the student representative in the executive committee of the Genomics and Computational Biology graduate group, and was also the student host for the Penn Bioinformatics Forum and the PGFI Research seminars
I have also tutored for Machine Learning, Algorithms, multiple Statistics/Probability (both advanced and basic), programming (Python/R/MATLAB) classes at Penn. If you are interested then shoot me an email.
I have also consulted on various short term Machine Learning, developing automated pipelines for data analysis (mostly related to Biomedical Imaging applications) projects. If you have an interesting project then shoot me an email.
I was also a member of Penn Biotech Group. I have consulted on many interesting projects (details omitted) as part of this group. I strongly encourage all Penn BGS students to be a part of this.
I am also interested in World History, Politics, Movies and TV. (Basically everything worthwhile under the Sun :) )
